About Our Timber Decks

Timber decks enhance the appearance of any home and increase living area at a fraction of the cost of adding on another room.

If your home is on steep property it is easy and relatively inexpensive to build out a deck which will enhance the view.

Peter has been involved in many prestigious decks and boardwalks including the Gonubie boardwalk in East London, the Boulders boardwalk in Capetown and many others.

Decking around a pool is not only practical but can increase the value of a home especially when incorporated into an entertainment area.

Wheelchair ramps to houses and upper floors of office blocks are far more economical and quick to build than concrete ramps.

Timber decks can be built using a choice of hardwoods or treated SA Pine which will last as long as any hardwood. We only use stainless steel or Cal coated screws to fasten the decking and all bolts are galvanised.

The substructure of the decks is normally treated SA Pine with hardwood decking and balustrades.

Hardwood decks can be left to go grey as they weather or can be coated with a good quality wood stabiliser or oil which helps to enhance the look of the timber as well as increasing the lifespan.

Balustrades can be of timber or stainless steel cables which do not obscure the view, and we also offer screen walls for privacy or to block out the wind.

All structural design conforms to SANS 10163 and the decks comply with SANS 10082 as well as the building regulations.
